Service Description

Scope of Work – Geotextile Driveway Resurfacing This service provides a high-durability driveway solution by integrating geotextile fabric beneath a compacted surface layer of gravel or recycled asphalt. The geotextile layer minimizes weed growth, prevents gravel migration, and enhances load distribution, making it ideal for rural and acreage driveways experiencing seasonal ground movement, pooling, or heavy traffic. Service Overview The process begins by removing the existing gravel to expose the subgrade. A heavy-duty woven geotextile fabric is then installed over the graded base. A new surface layer—consisting of reused gravel, recycled asphalt millings, or a blend of both—is applied and compacted to form a long-lasting and weed-resistant finish. Applications Rural and residential driveways Acreage and farmyard access roads Equipment or utility pads with unstable or shifting subgrades Areas requiring weed control, improved compaction, and drainage Standard Inclusions Removal and windrowing of existing gravel (stockpiled on-site if reusable) Light subgrade grading and compaction for even fabric installation Supply and installation of durable woven geotextile fabric Placement and compaction of one of the following surface materials: Re-used on-site gravel (when viable) New gravel Recycled asphalt millings Or a custom blend of gravel and asphalt to balance durability and cost Final surface grading and compaction to ensure proper drainage and finish Client Responsibilities Provide clear access for heavy equipment and material deliveries Mark locations of buried infrastructure or utilities in advance Approve use and placement of reclaimed gravel or upgraded surfacing material Specify slope or drainage direction, if applicable Exclusions Deep excavation or subgrade reengineering Off-site hauling of removed material (unless quoted separately) Installation of hot-mix asphalt or sealing compounds Surface treatment beyond the prepared driveway footprint
